New fires in Central Oregon over the weekend

Several new fires from over the weekend. A 50-acre fire 20 miles north of Prineville on private land called the Box Canyon Fire was worked on through the night to strengthen lines. There were several other fires being worked on including a 930-acre fire NE of Hampton in the Cougar Wells Wilderness Study Area with resources on the fire. There is also a 130-acre fire in the Maury Mountains that had crews on it. Several other smaller fires popped up following the recent lightning storm that were all kept to an acre or less. The Nash Fire is 64 hundred acres and 4 miles north of Elk Lake with pre-evacuation notices in place. The Milli Fire SW of Sisters remains at 24 thousand acres and is 60 percent contained.
